Life, The Universe, Everything...

So, as my first blog post on this fresh new, shiny blog... I thought I'd get all deep and what-not.

I've been thinking about life in general lately. What causes us as human beings to do the things we do? Why do we run the "rat-race", looking for that proverbial "cheese" at the end of the maze.
What kind of cheese is it? is it a sharp cheddar? maybe a bold but smokey Gouda? or just a peice of KRAFT American cheese that's been sitting around for 3 days?
These are legitimate questions, because they would change our motives. Who wants to run a race for a slice of American Cheese?

What are our motivations? Some people believe in going the extra mile for someone. Buying them groceries, mowing their lawn, visiting them in the hospital. These are all great things to do, but if your motivation is wrong, so is the deed.
If you do something because of what YOU can get out of it, your motivations are wrong. The deed is null.
If you do something because it's the RIGHT thing to do, and God demands RIGHTEOUS living.
God can change our motivations, make us a RIGHTEOUS person. We can't do that on our own. We are only human.

So, I challange you: While you run that "Rat Race" for the "Cheese". Stop and think about your motivations.

Why do YOU do the things you do?

P.S.> Many cheeses were harmed in the making of this post. I am deeply sorry.
